The course will focus on two worlds: CLOWN & MIME
CLOWN is the practice of play and presence. Together, we will explore how we can improve our listening skills as performers and how we can exploit 'the moment' to unlock golden ideas onstage and truly embrace being 'in the shit'.
MIME is the practice of physical storytelling. We will learn skills and tricks to improve our storytelling and precision of movement. We will explore dynamic movement, as well as qualities and elements.
This workshop is suitable for any performer, amateur or professional, who wishes to broaden their skill set in a supportive environment. All exercises will be tailored to the participants' needs and everyone will have to opportunity to work both individually and in groups with allocated time for reflection and feedback.
The course will run from 11am till 4pm both days with a 45 minute lunch break. Refreshments provided.
Tickets are £55 with early bird tickets available for £45 if booked before the 15th of December. We are offering a 10% discount for Equity members and performers from Newcastle's improv community. 10% discount available for groups of 4 or more.
